Too Hard for kids

My 5 year old son begged for this for Christmas. It is impossible to play. All the characters are green, but he eventually gets them all together. he also got the creation chamber which is much better. So when we do play this game we use the characters with color. Still very difficult for a 5 year old. The creation chamber is much better. The million tiny little pieces are a pain too. Buy the creation chamber, he loves making crazy aliens. Requires much adult supervision if you want to keep all the pieces
Son likes it- mom, not so much.

Bought this for 5 yr. old son, he loved it, and it was easy to use.
Sadly, as you can see, pieces for aliens are TINY, so they're either found painfully underfoot, or lost completely. Though toy can be used as storage for pieces, the top and bottom 'covers' are not secured- just rests on it, so when carrying around, the covers come off and spill everything out. Cards that come with separate piece purchases also cannot fit correctly into toy, so you'll have to store them elsewhere.
Otherwise, my son seems to like it, though after 2 years, he's lost about 1/2 of the alien pieces. He/we enjoy the Ben10 Omnitrix watch much more, since it's just one big piece, with attachable pieces that are not easily misplaced. |
Doesn't Make Sense

I purchased this game for my grandson who is 5. He loves Ben 10 and putting things together. Its a bit too complicated with the "key" necessary to get the parts apart and together. The directions didn't make any sense about why this "key" was necessary and it made playing the game far more frustrating than it needed to be, even when the grown-ups got involved. It's also very small, which makes it difficult for several players. I wouldn't recommend this game, even for older kids.
Typical Bandai Junk

My son just received this for his birthday. When I saw the Bandai logo I knew we had another hunk of junk headed for the trash. I have stopped buying anything from Bandai but must educate my family. It is a shame because my son loves Ben 10 despite being disappointed with toys such as the Kevin Car, Vilgax ship, his omnitrix, and countless other aliens he has received. All have broken easily despite my son being very careful.
This toy is HORRIBLE.

My son hates this toy and my son usually loves everything that has to do with Ben 10. First, the part that's supposed to pop up doesn't even pop up right, the wind-up crank doesn't wind-up right, and the aliens are impossible to put together fast enough to beat the game. The pieces are so tiny and they're all neon green so you can barely tell what goes with what. The colored pieces you see in the image they use on here do NOT come with the game. At our local Toys R Us the set of colored aliens costs 19.99 and this is in addition to the price you've already paid for this crap game. Save your money, don't buy this game, it's a big fat waste of money. My son hasn't touched it since Christmas morning and this was one of the toys he was really excited about! If he hadn't tore up the box opening it, I'd send it back! As it is, I'm just going to write to the company and see what they can do. If you do buy this toy, good luck! You're gonna need it!
